Chineham Rugby Football Club Code of Conduct

CONSTITUTION AND RULES

Name

The name of the club shall be Chineham Rugby Football Club.

Objects

The objects for the club shall be the playing and promotion of the game of Rugby Union Football and the furtherance and interest thereof in strict accordance with the rules of Rugby Football Union.

Membership

A prospective player for the club will have to become a full member of the club by paying an agreed membership/joining fee prior to the rugby playing season.
Other classes of membership may become available as and when the need arises.

Definition of a Full Member

A person who has attained the age of 18 years on 1st September of the current year. This person will be eligible to enjoy all the facilities of the club. The member will also be eligible to vote at any Annual or Special General Meeting of the club.

Subscriptions

Members shall each subscribe such a minimum sum per annum as shall be fixed at the Annual General Meeting for their class of membership as the subscription for that class of membership. Payment is to be due, in advance, on 1st September in each year.

Management

The management of the club shall be in the hands of the following members:

  • The Chairman
  • The Secretary
  • The Treasurer
  • The Club Captain
  • The Fixture Secretary
  • The Team Coach

    • A vote will take place at the Annual General Meeting involving all members of the club, on the selection of the members to form the management of the club for the forthcoming year.

    All members of the management shall hold office until their successors are appointed.

    Selection of Team

    The selection of the Open Age/First XV shall be in the hands of the management of the club, namely:

  • The Chairman
  • The Secretary
  • The club Captain
  • The Team Coach

    • Selection of a Reserve Open Age/Second XV shall be in the hands of the management of the club as for the First XV. The Second XV Team Captain shall be involved here in the selection of his team.

    At present there is no facility for any other teams for the club. Such a facility will be made available as and when the need arises, as and when the club expands.

    The Annual General Meeting (A.G.M.)

    This meeting will take place at a pre-arranged date notified to all members thirty days in advance. The Annual Report and duly audited Financial Statement made up to 30th June shall be submitted at the meeting.

    No member will be allowed to vote at the A.G.M. unless his subscription to the year is fully paid.

    Alterations of Rules

    These Rules shall only be altered by the vote of a majority consisting of two-thirds of the members personally voting at the A.G.M.
